We are seeking a Senior Director, Technology & Innovation to set the strategic direction of Providence St. Joseph Health Office of Philanthropy's technology infrastructure and provide vision and support for system wide fundraising operations. As a key member of the Office of Philanthropy management team, the Senior Director reports to the Vice President/Chief Development Officer and is responsible for ensuring that information and technology resources are aligned with its strategic priorities and that Office of Philanthropy information technology products and services are consistent, reliable, easy to use, visionary, and cost efficient and ensures data integrity. The Senior Director will initially oversee the implementation of a system wide donor database and will ultimately oversee a wide range of information and technology services in support of Providence St. Joseph Foundations and its affiliates fundraising operations.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for the development of a technology strategic vision in support of Philanthropy at the system level and throughout the organization's 30 affiliated fundraising foundations.
Be responsible for setting an overall technology innovation strategy and managing a portfolio of product ideas through the innovation process to launch.
Apply technical knowledge in recommending, designing, and implementing information and technology systems for meeting operational needs and for providing innovative solutions and programs.
Champion innovation throughout the philanthropy organization.
Supervise the administration of enterprise systems including the fundraising systems,
Responsible for the integration with finance, payroll and accounting systems, all analysis and data warehousing infrastructure, and any ancillary systems.
Responsible for the integration with EPIC to capture the data needed in order to support a robust grateful patient program across all regions, while maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
Apply leadership and technical skills in directing system and project-related issues.
Ensure support of the fundraising organization, a user community of over 150 users including data analysis, reports, systems maintenance and enhancement, technology training, and data integrity.
Manage the relationship with and serve as primary liaison to shared services partners including Information Services, Marketing and Communications, Legal, Finance, and Privacy teams to ensure seamless integration.
Partner with leaders of technical groups across the system whose work affects philanthropy operations, data, security, and processes.
Direct the work of external vendors and consultants whose engagements are specific to projects within his/her areas of responsibility.
Be responsible for the staff training program in database and gift administration policies and procedures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field or equivalent experience.
Five to ten years technical leadership experience, including system design and application programming in a relational database and associated Microsoft client/server software environment.
Five to ten years of experience leading a team.
Experience with overseeing analytics, data warehouse, and enterprise reporting technologies such as SQL Server Reporting Services and Crystal Reports.
Professional experience in healthcare philanthropy.
Preferred qualifications for this position include :
Master's degree a plus.
