The Coordinator, Credentialing will be responsible for coordinating provider enrollment and re-credentialing activities for Valley Health. Position will require confidentiality, professionalism and accountability be held as it has significant access to confidential employee, patient, organizational, and financial information. Individual must act independently and in an organized fashion to coordinate activities related to provider enrollment and credentialing as well as maintain follow-up correspondence related to those activities. This could include but not limited to reviewing incoming or outgoing documentation, preparing and updating various reports and summaries, keeping the CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) database up to date, answering telephone calls, responding to emails and faxes in a timely fashion.
Proven database management skills required Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred Strong situation analysis skills and ability to communicate effectively on a wide range of levels required Excellent critical thinking, time-management, and communication skills required Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact professionally with staff, physicians, consumer, surveyors, and public officials required Competency in credentialing software required within 30 days of hire Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Current knowledge of Joint Commission and NCQA standards and credentialing process preferred
Two to five years previous office experience required
