SLEEP TECHS II-NOC
Multiple opportunities exist within our Sleep Center Departments
at our Illinois and Wisconsin locations
The professional we select for this vital role will conduct sleep studies and computerized scoring, provide training and leadership to junior personnel, and clean equipment and supplies. Responsibilities include:
Measuring each patient's head and body parts and marking points where electrodes are to be placed.
Attaching electrodes to predetermined locations and verifying the functioning of electrodes and recording equipment.
Operating recording instruments, including digital sleep system and video recording, and supplemental equipment, and selecting settings for optimal viewing.
Recording montage (electrode combination) and instrument settings, and observing/noting patient behavior during the test.
Conducting PSG, titrations, and MSLT testing.
Writing detailed technical reports summarizing testing and results to assist physicians.
Maintaining a detailed log of each patient's actions during testing.
Associate's degree (AA) in respiratory care or electroneurodiagnostics, OR the equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, OR six or more months of related training/experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
The accumulation of 50 sleep-related CEUs over a five-year period, including a minimum of five per year.
Commitment to work toward BRPT registry and maintain current BLS/CPR certification.
Ability to pass the Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check and/or Illinois Health Care Workers Background Check.
Ability to pass a driver's license check and/or credit check.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds on regular basis, and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
