The Division Head of Accordant Sales and Account Management is a senior executive who is highly respected and visible in the healthcare services marketplace. You will be responsible for developing and leading the overall sales and account management function for the CVS Specialty Care Management (Accordant) division. Specifically, you will cultivate and enhance relationships with national and regional health plans and large employers. You will recruit, direct and coach Accordant sales executives in their selling efforts with a hands-on role in developing sales leads, presenting, negotiating and closing new deals.
In addition, you will be accountable for all contract renewals, client retention and identifying opportunities for growth with existing customers through leading a team of Account Services professionals. You will also be responsible for participating, in collaboration with the product development team, in the innovation of new products and services within the Accordant business that can be leveraged with current and new customers.
The Division Head of Accordant Sales and Account Management must have the experience, credibility and demeanor to interact with individuals at the highest levels within BCBS Plans, HMOs, employer groups and health insurers. You must have the ability to listen attentively and question others to ascertain their needs and requires well-developed ability to relate effectively with others, using flexibility, animation, persuasiveness, sensitivity, and emotional stability and to solve problems and plan/organize work activities in a logical and timely manner, establishing goals and engaging in relevant activities for achieving objectives. This goal driven position will require the ability to persist with effort and drive to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.
* 10+ years of progressive experience within Sales and/or Marketing for major health providers, health services, or consulting services, within a Managed Care industry.
* 10+ years of extensive experience with managed care products and services, including an excellent understanding of key sales competencies required to support the sales process.
* 5+ years of senior level experience with a proven track record of innovation and solid senior management and executive level contacts at HMO's and health insurance companies, preferably within the medical management function.
* Must have the ability and flexibility for frequent travel.
