Under general direction of the OSF HealthCare Medical Group (OSFMG) Chief Nursing Officer/VP of Clinical Services, and in a dyad with the Director of Professional Practice responsible to lead the development and enculturation of Nursing and Clinical Staff that deliver care through the OSFMG. Works collaboratively with staff and leadership at all levels of OSFMG to achieve the mission and strategic objectives of the OSFMG and Healthcare System. Provides leadership and coordination for the redesign and transformation of ambulatory/ office care delivery towards the “best practice model: of quality and cost-effective care; . Leads strategic long range initiatives for the provision of nursing care. Develops collaborative partnerships with key OSF leaders to develop clinical practice standards, standardization, productivity, and other operational and strategic issues. Responsible for developing a structure for establishing clinical competency, education, training, and quality improvement for clinical staff. Will assist the Director of Professional Practice to ensure ambulatory adoption of the Clinical Agenda Works with Operations to ensure consistent clinical performance expectations, training, and protocols are in place across all regions of OSFMG. Regional Clinical Managers will have a direct line reporting relationship into this position and provide input to development, implementation and monitoring performance expectations of clinical roles. Works collaboratively with regional and site management, advanced providers and physicians to ensure smooth and efficient integration of clinical staff work flows with provider workflows to ensure optimal efficiency and patient outcomes. to establish clinical competency, education and training for clinical staff. Promotes excellence in nursing and clinical care through leadership, evidence based practice and education through their role as change agent, educator, consultant, mentor, researcher, program developer and professional role model.
Illinois RN licensure
At least 3-5 years supervisory or leadership experience.
At least 5 years of clinical practice experience in office/ ambulatory setting.
Ability to manage complex projects.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Proficient skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong sense of advocacy for clinical staff; participative management style.
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to prioritize work direction which comes from many different sources.
