We are seeking an inpatient P.T. the opportunity to care for Veterans by evaluating referred patients, establish, and execute treatment, as well as provide discharge recommendations for those hospitalized Veteran patients. You shall assist in the growth and development of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service, and the profession through participation in multidisciplinary rounds and educational activities. You may perform comprehensive Veteran evaluations, to include: the review of Veteran medical records in order to assess appropriateness of physical therapy intervention; the evaluation of medical history, results and interpretation of appropriate functional tests and measurements. You will be responsible for the development of comprehensive Veteran treatment plans and the modification of treatment plans when appropriate. As an inpatient P.T., be responsible for contributing to the advancement of knowledge and techniques in the relation to physical therapy. Lastly, be accountable for maintaining open communication with Veterans, families, staff and others.
Graduate from a degree program in physical therapy from an approved college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The CAPTE is the only accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) to accredit entry-level physical therapy programs. Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in a State, Commonwealth, or Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia
English language proficiency
