Witt/Kieffer has been retained to conduct the search for the Chief Information Officer for OneCity Health located in New York City, New York.
OneCity Health is NYC’s largest Performing Provider System (PPS) that is currently in a time of transformation into the largest Managed Services Organization (MSO) in the country. It is sponsored by NYC Health + Hospitals (NYC H+H), the largest municipal healthcare system in the nation. Additionally, OneCity Health is creating a new independent physician association (IPA). OneCity Health already operates a Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) ACO. It is anticipated that OneCity Health could manage over one million member lives under capitated contracts.
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) of OneCity Health is a unique opportunity to lead in the progressive healthcare organization over the areas of data acquisition, analytics, population health, telemedicine, and care management. The CIO will work closely with the CEO, executive team, and other key stakeholders as appropriate to lead the development of both client and internal projects. As a senior-level executive, the CIO will set the overall direction for technology through strategic planning, evaluation, and implementation. Additionally, the CIO must understand how to interface and coordinate with both clinical systems including EHRs, HIEs, data warehouses, and the core systems of Health Plans. The CIO will also review and drive all vendor contracts related to technology projects.
The ideal candidate will be a mission driven leader with substantial experience in a complex healthcare company such as a managed services organization, clinically integrated network, multi-hospital system, or within managed care. A strong history of leading vendor relationships, strategy, analytics, care management, and population health initiatives is required. A Bachelor’s Degree and an Advanced Degree are required. An M.D., D.O. or R.N. with a robust clinical background is desirable, but not required.
