Overall financial performance and operating efficiency of the organization will be a key priority for the Chief Financial Officer. The new CFO will establish a comprehensive financial strategic plan to meet the financial goals and objectives while keeping a strong focus on the mission, growth of its membership and improving operating and financial performance. As an active member of the Senior Executive Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) engages in the strategic planning process for the enterprise and is responsible for developing the strategic vision and plan for the Finance and Information Technology (IT) Departments, ensuring that the financial and IT strategies are aligned with the corporate strategies and priorities.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer must have a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration; a Master’s Degree and/or CPA or other similar credential is preferred. The ideal candidate will have ten years financial management experience with progressively increasing responsibilities within the healthcare industry, preferably in the managed care environment. Medicare and Medicaid experience is preferred. A minimum of four plus years experience in public accounting is helpful.
