The position reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for all fiscal activities of the organization, Union Health Service, Inc. The opening is due to a pending retirement in the spring of 2018, but we would like to fill the position during the fall of 2017 to provide a transition during the year-end reporting cycle.
We are seeking a solid financial executive with broad skills in other areas as well. Members of our executive team often contribute in areas outside of the written boundaries of the job description; we shape roles based on areas of interest, skills, and organizational needs. This position will certainly oversee the finance department (staff of three with a CPA, an degreed accountant, and an accounting clerk). Responsibilities in other areas will be depend upon the candidate, but the current incumbent also has responsibility for the departments pharmacy, I.T., claims processing, human resources, enrollment and member services, and purchasing. MBA (or equivalent) with ten or more years of experience in accounting and reporting. A bachelor's degree with a CPA certification can substitute for the education requirement.
