Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health. The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.
Kingwood Pines Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Patient Accounts Specialist. The Patient Accounts Specialist serves as the primary contact for the Kingwood Pines Hospital Business Office for any and all billing or payments application. The position is responsible for the handling of all communication either direct or electronic with insurance carriers, patients or staff in the pursuit of collecting monies for the accounts receivable section of the Business Office.
Key Responsibilities Includes:
Responsible for receipt of all payments.
Responsible for constant contact with insurance carriers for prompt and correct submission claims.
Transmits claims via paper, electronic per appropriate billing requirements to any and all carriers.
Maintains any specialized reports for tracking correct revenue and reimbursement
Documents all efforts for biller and cash application purposes and outcome of those efforts correctly in accounting system.
