The Director of the Medical Group, Primary Care will manage and supervise the operational and administrative functions of the primary care clinic. Provides performance management of employees. Counsels and coaches employees and takes appropriate disciplinary action for infractions of policy, seeking input from Human Resources if needed. Develops, justifies and maintains departmental budget(s) for the area(s) of responsibility. Monitors and maintains operating expenses, including salaries and capital expense items within budgetary guidelines. Collaborates with administrative support services to provide a safe, clean and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors. Prepares and maintains statistical data, reports, quality assurance plans, billing data, and other documentation as indicated by the executive director; provides such data in a timely manner to the executive director. Ensures quality patient care through assessment, planning, appropriate intervention, re-evaluation, written documentation, observation and comparison to established standards. Assists with basic patient care when necessary. Provides professional health related consultation and health instruction/ education to individuals, families, and/or other health care providers appropriate to their individualized level of understanding. Develops, conducts, and/or participates in quality assurance activities within the specialty clinic department and hospital.
Minimum of 2 years experience in clinic setting or previous leadership/supervisor experience in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of, or experience in, a Patient Centered Medical Home is beneficial. BLS certified.
