Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adultsÂ in Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas.Â We offerÂ medical detox asÂ well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location.Â Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients.

TheÂ Art TherapistÂ provides clinical services in the form of art therapy to individuals and groups and contributes to treatment planning.Â The Art Therapist exercises his/her clinical knowledge in dealing with clients.Â S/He also provides leadership and demonstrates teaching ability to other staff in regard to art therapy.Â S/He plans and organizes the art therapy activities for clients in residential and inpatient programs.Â Includes checking inventory, ordering supplies, and individualized program planning.
