Centennial Peaks Hospital is a 104 bed hospital located in beautiful Louisville, CO. We are dedicated to providing a full range of mental health and chemical dependency services to the state of Colorado. We strive to enhance the mental health, safety and well-being of our patients, their families, and the community at large by providing ethical, compassionate, medically and psychologically integrated inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for psychiatric and addiction disorders. PURPOSE: Provides financial counseling to patients, explaining their insurance benefits, collecting deductibles and coinsurance amounts. Follows up and collects on all patient accounts with a self-pay balance. Monitors and reviews past due bills and follow up documents. Contacts patients and/or third party payer organizations to secure payments or arrange alternative settlement plans. Identifies problem delinquencies and recommends their disposition. Prepares and maintains collection rated accounts. Monitor the accuracy of third party payments and determine the amount of the patientâ€™s responsibility. Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Typical schedule includes Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 4:30pm-8:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am-3:30pm.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: â€¢ Monitors and reviews past due self-pay and insurance balance accounts. â€¢ Contact third party payer organizations and/or patients as necessary to facilitate the timely payment of charges â€¢ Identifies problem delinquencies and recommends their appropriate disposition (i.e., referral to collections agency, or write-off) â€¢ Prepares and maintains Upfront Cash Log â€¢ Maintains current knowledge of all collection policies and procedures as it relates to self-pay balances. â€¢ Promotes a positive working environment and guest relations â€¢ Assumes and/or performs additional duties as requested TEAMWORK:â€¢ Consistently works in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow team members â€¢ Assists other team members in the performance of their assignments by seeking out opportunities to help rather than waiting to be asked, and by considering the impact of actions on other team members â€¢ Participates in decision-making and process improvement, regardless of level in the organization â€¢ Communicates effectively within and beyond assigned team â€¢ Focuses on the problem or issue, not the person
