We have initiated a search for a Chief Quality Officerto join our team. We are seeking a candidate that aligns with the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
The Chief Quality Officer is responsible for planning, administration, and monitoring of consistent readiness of all quality management, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement processes.
The Chief Quality Officer will oversee and coordinate all hospital efforts to monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory, State, Federal Government, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization standards.
The position reports directly to the CEO.
Direct oversight of the following departments: Quality, Education, Medical Staff Services, Infection Control and Risk Management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field required
Master’s Degree preferred.
Candidates must possess minimum of 5 years of acute care experience and demonstrate a clear working knowledge of general hospital operations, Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, and State requirements.
Minimum of 3 years previous Quality Management required.
Must have coordinated Joint Commission preparation and participated in State and CMS surveys within past three years.
Strong written and verbal communication with proactive problem solving skills.
Ability to operate personal computer and Microsoft Office.
Ability to provide department leadership as required.
Current licenseas a Registered Nurse or other health care professional in the State of Florida.
CPHQ Certification preferred.
ALSO SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED DIRECTOR OF RISK MANAGEMENT
Develops and administers risk management programs. Creates and modifies policies to comply with safety legislation, JCAHO, HIPAA, and industry practices. Coordinates and develops hospital-wide programs for quality patient care and risk-free services. Acts as the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies, and individuals. Investigates any incidences that may result in an asset loss. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 7 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
Eligible for incentive award based on corporate metrics.
