The SVP, Chief People Officer has overall responsibility and accountability for leading AvMed’s human resource functions to ensure the business units attract, develop and retain highly engaged associates who deliver a better member health experience. This includes the development and implementation of effective people strategies, policies, programs and services; oversight and strategic management of the SFHC HR Shared Services and responsibility of AvMed facilities, including effective workspace utilization and project management.
As a mission driven leader, the ideal candidate will possess a minimum of ten (10) or more years' experience in a complex and diversified healthcare/health insurance company; preferably a minimum of five (5) years at the executive level. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or a related field is required, while a Master's degree and/or equivalent experience is preferred. A 'Society for Human Resources Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)' certification is a plus.
