The Senior Director of Finance / MercyCare CFO is responsible for the financial management of the insurance corporation, to include the development of financial strategies, metrics tied to those strategies, and the ongoing financial support and leadership in the Mercyhealth System. This role directs and oversees all financial activities for MercyCare Insurance Corporation including preparation of current financial reports as well as forecasts for future business growth. This will include direct responsibility for finance, forecasting, risk assessment, and achievement of System Dashboard Objectives. This position reports to the Sr. VP of MercyCare Operations with a matrix reporting relationship to the Mercyhealth System CFO.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
8+ years of experience required with at least three (3) years as a senior financial executive in a health insurance company or integrated health care system. Provider owned insurance corporation experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field required,
Master’s Degree in Business (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Health Administration (MHA) is strongly preferred.
