OverviewThis position provides oversight to TVC’s education and staff development services. Develops, designs, and oversees clinical education and competency training for clinical services staff. Evaluates effectiveness of programs and provides guidance to staff and key leaders based on results. Facilitates assessment and identification of ongoing learning needs for staff development programs. This position will work in collaboration with key FHP stakeholders from departments such as quality, education and administration to support the organization’s mission, vision, values and strategic goals implemented. Supports e-learning applications.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our service behaviors each and every day.

QualificationsPHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS IP - Typical Indirect Patient Care Environment: (CSPD Instrument Technician, Lab Technician, Pharmacist)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other healthcare related field. Requires a current Alaska state RN license and current BLS certification. All direct patient care personnel are required to demonstrate competent performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS) techniques for adults, children and infants according to the standards of a nationally recognized, standardized, credentialed healthcare provider course every other year.
Requires skills and abilities typically attained with three (3) or more years of work experience in nursing. Must possess excellent presentation, facilitation, and computer technology skills as well as strong organization and communication skills and the ability to take initiative, solve problems and improve processes. Expert knowledge of medical terminology is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Three (3) or more years as a registered nurse in a clinic with increasing responsibility and experience related to training and competency preferred.
