We are currently seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our team. The Admissions Coordinator supports all aspects of intake and admission processes and procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: maintaining daily census records, entering all intake and admission data into a hospital computer database, handling intake calls, completing thorough intake assessments, determining appropriate levels of care with MDs, verifying insurance benefits, completing insurance prior-authorization requests, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with referral sources, completing follow-up tasks pending resolution and ensuring treatment and clinical service recommendations are based upon patient needs. Maintain positive relationships with staff from other departments and foster a team environment.

LCCA is seeking a dynamic Admissions Coordinator to work varied hours as needed.
The AC assures smooth and orderly admissions into the hospital and oversees the clinical services documentation for admissions and therapy departments. In addition, the AC receives incoming admission inquiry calls, assesses patients for admission, and makes appropriate referrals. He/she will oversee the daily input of pre-certifications into Midas, follows up on unfinished pre-certifications from the day before and coordinates with Utilization Review on any follow ups. Completes monthly audits of all clinical documentation for admissions and clinical services department and Compiles monthly audit results for admissions and clinical services and provides data to DCS and presents in monthly meetings as required. Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Coordinator will be trained in administration/leadership issues and may be cross trained in risk management issues, in addition to other job duties.
