The Director of Sales provides comprehensive knowledge of sales strategies, industry trends, product pricing and customer accounts. This position will develop and implement innovative sales strategies to acquire new customers and achieve market penetration goals. The Director will proactively manage sales processes and outcomes by establishing individual strategic plans for sales staff and by influencing brokers / consultants and partnering with underwriters. This position will also work closely with marketing leadership on company campaigns to generate additional sales as well as retaining existing accounts
Bachelor degree in sales/business related field.
Working knowledge of assigned market region
Progressive sales experience in the health solutions industry.
Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a professional sales team.
Must be a self-starter and able to operate in an entrepreneurial environment that rewards the ability to successfully achieve goals, execute plans and work with management, underwriters, compliance and clients.
Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Valid state health and life insurance license.
Ability to travel.
Experience with building, training and managing sales teams located in multiple markets.
Work collaboratively with a variety of teams at all levels of the organization.
Experience assisting in development of the staffing services sales and go to market strategy for revenue increases.
