This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of the organization’s compensation and benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, and retirement plans). This position also provides excellent customer service and quality benefits plans, and monitors benefits administration, as well as employee benefits plans and provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of benefits and compensation programs.

Administers, analyzes, and maintains company benefits programs. Informs and advises employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage, provisions, and issue resolution. Compiles and maintains benefits records and documentation. Conducts benefits orientations and explains the benefits self-enrollment system. Manages escalated benefits related employee issues. Supports special projects as needed.
Analyzes, designs, and administers employer compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Evaluates jobs, determines pay grades, performs job matching, participates in compensation surveys, and performs associated analysis. Ensures that requests for pay adjustments comply with current compensation policy.
Maintains and updates employee information in the human resources information system (HRIS). Maintains employee benefits systems and ensures changes are entered accurately in the payroll system. Ensures data accuracy. Interprets results to assist in planning, developing, and suggesting human resource management decisions used for staffing, compensation, merit, and bonus programs. Maintains the job description database.
Verifies monthly billing and premium statements for all group insurance policies, and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs. Resolves administrative problems with carrier representatives. Performs monthly premium and refund audits.
Manages common benefits functions, including life, health, and disability insurance, retirement benefits and paid time off. Ensures that compensation and benefits programs remain competitive and conform to current strategy. Calculates and prepares any necessary compensation and/or benefits related payroll corrections. Ensures and maintains compliance with any and all applicable compensation and benefits regulations laws.
Assists the Comp and Benefits Manager with obtaining statistics and information for the benefits renewal process. Prepares and establishes meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensures distribution of required employee notices.
Acts as the administrator for all leaves of absence including FMLA, USERRA, Short-Term Disability, Medical Leave, and Extended Medical Leave. Ensures timecard accuracy associated with leaves of absence tracking. Facilitates relations between the employee and the leave administrator as needed.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Must possess a strong knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in a related business, human resources or financial discipline, or equivalent experience.
Must possess at least three (3) years’ of experience in a healthcare, human resources or finance environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and healthcare experience.
Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with changing needs and deadlines. Requires proficiency in statistical analysis, data interpretation, computer software applications, plus a proficiency in cost modeling techniques to generate management reports, projections, and analyses.
Must possess a minimum of intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Must have the ability to follow oral and written directions as they relate to the functions listed above. Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with departmental personnel, assist customers with inquiries, schedule meetings and appointments, as well as, provide assistance with incoming telephone calls and walk-ins.
Experience supporting compensation and benefits administration.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
