Nemours Children's Health System is seeking a Patient Services Specialist II (FULL-TIME) to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.
Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. This position is responsible for performing as a customer service representative for all divisions. Accurately obtain and enter all essential information needed to complete registration and schedule appointments while following standard business practices. Provide excellent service to internal and external customers as a member of the PSS team.
Customer Service: answer phone lines in a prompt and courteous manner, and handle appropriately.
Registration: collect, maintain and insure accuracy of patient and insurance information through the use of standard business practices.
Scheduling: understand visit types and proper utilization of questionnaires to efficiently schedule appointments.
Communication: daily management of electronic communication (Outlook messages, WebXchange, EPIC messages, Telephone Encounters).
Mailing of appointment reminder letters with appropriate packets as assigned.
Ability to cover outbound work as assigned.
All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
High School Diploma required. Specialized (1 year of training beyond high school).
Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years' experience required.
Customer service experience required.
Medical office and/or call center experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook and comfort utilizing Internet and Intranet.
