High school diploma or equivalent required. American Heart Association CPR card required. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office; excellent communication and organizational skills also required. Basic knowledge of medical terminology a plus. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assisting physical therapist/physical therapist assistant/occupational therapist with patient care such as: assisting with patient transfers onto and off of treatment tables and equipment, maintaining treatment area by maintaining supply and linen inventory, changing sheets and pillow cases; general housekeeping, retrieving equipment as needed such as hot packs, cold packs, electrical equipment, assist in clerical needs of department such as answering phones and taking messages; assist in verification of insurance benefits; scheduling patients in EMR, direct communication with office staff and Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy staff.
