Anesthesia Quality Coordinator - NJ RN license and BSN required, MSN preferred. Professional Certification CPHQ-certified in Healthcare Quality. ASPN or AORN highly desirable. Minimum of five years experience in clinical practice. Prior experience with performance improvement initiatives. Knowledge about state, federal, and regulatory agents requirements. Coordinates departmental and interdepartmental Performance Improvement activities related to strategic initiatives, patient safety, and departmental goals. Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality metrics consistent with metrics supported by the national societies such as the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and Anesthesia Quality Institute (AQI). Assists the department with the development of performance improvement indictors and analyzes the data collected. Provide support to multidisciplinary teams in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality care initiatives for specific patient populations such as pediatrics or cardiac. Ensure accurate collection of data for selected, standardized measures of clinical qualityEnter data retrieved from clinical and administrative systems into web-based programsWork effectively with colleagues wit to ensure that deadlines are met for data submission to various internal and external stakeholders. Coordinates new and ongoing projects under the direction of the Sr. Director of Administration and Department Chair. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support Surgical Services quality improvement goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.Work actively with clinical staff to facilitate the highest possible performance on selected clinical quality measures.
