The Vice President (VP) of IT, Revenue Cycle is responsible for assessing content, implementation strategies, and the impact those strategies will have on workflows, policies and operations for their respective programs/applications within RWJBH. This position serves as leadership for other Access and Revenue Cycle IT management team members, prioritizing new projects and providing oversight to the project management teams to ensure consistent, timely implementation, and the development of internal access and revenue cycle applications that support the access and financial needs of RWJBH. This position will be 100% focused on the build out and support of the Epic Revenue Cycle Applications; Grand Central ADT, Cadence Prelude, HIM and EMPI, Hospital and Physician Billing, and other Third Party Applications as assigned. For the Epic Project this position reports to the IT Project Manager and administratively to the CIO.
Preferred: Master s degree in Health Care, Information Technology, Business, or related field
Minimum: Bachelor s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
Preferred: Ten+ (10) years of IT revenue cycle management experience and the implementation of access and/or financial systems and/or large-scale and complex enterprise-wide initiatives in a health care setting
Minimum: Five (5) years project management experience implementing access and/or financial systems and/or large-scale and complex enterprise-wide initiatives in a health care setting
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, facilitation/training skills, project management capabilities, and leadership orientation
Strong assertiveness skills and ability to manage conflict in a variety of situations
Superior organizational and people management skills
Demonstrated ability to align and motivate key process stakeholders, including nurses, physicians, and other clinical/administrative staff
Demonstrated ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams
Experience in Epic EMR required
Licenses and Certifications:
Preferred: Obtaining applicable certification in one of the access or revenue cycle applications
