General Summary: A non-exempt medical office position responsible for all referrals for the medical offices in the market
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1.Process patient referrals for the practices in the market
2.Coordinate scheduling of office visits for the referred patient
3.Assist patient with finding resources that accept the various insurances
4.Obtains pre-authorization from payers.
5.Set up referring providers in the Electronic System
Education: High school diploma/GED with completion or a medical assisting or medical office assistant program preferred.
Certification: Prefer healthcare management/administration or Medical Assistant certification.
Experience: Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience working in a medical office setting
