Responsible for contacting patient/guarantor and/or physician staff to obtain patient/guarantor financial information required to financially clear accounts.Perform patient pre-financial counseling by reviewing patient benefits and collecting patient liability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Others may be assigned.
Communicates with patients/guarantors to provide pre-registration and patient financial counseling services.
Annotate appropriate documentation and selects the correct activity code resulting in proper documentation of services rendered.
Adheres to CPAS standardized call scripting and procedural functionality to ensure customer service delivery metrics is achieved.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in 10-key calculator by touch
Proficient in the use of general office equipment (fax, copier and computers)
Proficient data entry and typing skills (30 WPM minimum)
Exceptional problem solving and analytical abilities
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
Ability to work within a team setting and be supportive of team members
Ability to work successfully in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
Bi-lingual is a plus
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 - 2 years of experience in Customer Service or related call center environment
1 - 2 years of administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred
