A Medical Technologist’s role is to provide accurate laboratory results in a timely manner. Laboratory results aid clinical practitioners in confirming or ruling out diagnosis, monitoring chronic disease states, and analyzing the effects of medical therapies.
Uses knowledge of laboratory science to perform the most complex clinical testing as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIAA ’88) providing safe and effective patient care.
Maintains strict safety and infection control techniques at all times. Practices, develops and endorses customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers. Participate in Quality Improvement activities as assigned.
3 years preferred
4 year/Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred
Florida Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist / Supervisor or eligible for state licensure.
