Manages the retention process and client relationships for the Small Group Commercial segment. Manages and directs the daily activities and duties of the Small Group service representative team. Actively assesses staff productivity level and monitors and trains staff to meet departmental and organizational goals.
Manages the retention of membership through effective servicing of accounts.
Manages the retention department staff and assures timely and productive execution of planned strategies.
Responds to changes and fluctuations in the environment with appropriate modifications in the departmental strategy.
Recruits and hires Small Group service representatives.
Performs sales and customer service training to new and existing representatives as appropriate.
Assesses the performance of each service representative.
Responds to achievements and deficiencies as appropriate.
Oversees activities of representatives, providing customer service and support to existing clients in all products.
Maintains relationships and coordination with other departments in the execution of sales strategies, new products and programs, problem resolution, policies and procedures.
Manages the on-going maintenance to database according to current requirements.
Coordinates group renewals, which include rate submission, premium quotes, post enrollment paperwork, actual employee meetings and Confirmation of Sales Agreements.
Assists renewal representatives in presenting to employer group decision makers, clients and individuals.
Calculates incentive compensation summaries for service representatives.
Meets and collaborates with external agents and brokers to enhance service and retention efforts.
Develops and directs sales training.
