The Supervisor Perioperative in the PACU is responsible for assisting the Manager/Director with department operations. As needed, partners with nursing leader/s to assure environment is conducive to excellence in nursing practice. This includes supervision of personnel and projects as delegated, including but not limited to hiring, discipline and performance evaluations.
This position will be working 64 hours every two weeks on the rotating day/evening shift, no weekends. The position is eligible for benefits.
Supervises staff within perioperative services
Assists in managing the day-to-day or shift-to-shift operations
Focuses on patients, team members, provider service requirements, and other customers
Acts as a role model
Assists with managing fiscal operations of the unit
Collaborates with Nursing and Provider leadership to implement and evaluate standards of practice
Collects and analyzes quality data and utilizes process improvement methodology to insure deliver of safe and quality patient care
Demonstrates skills/abilities in provision of patient care within the periop environment
As needed, partners with clinical leaders to create an environment that advances evidence-based practice
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served
Fulfills all organizational requirements
Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking
Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Life Support (BLS)
