Technician Site Manager for the Fairview Riverside Pharmacy at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center. Pharmacy providesretail and dischargeservices to community and hospital patients, 8AM-6PM, Monday-Sunday. Lead a high-performing team of technicians and interns who work as part of an interdisciplinary team with nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. Responsibilities/Job Description
Managing direct report (Hiring, scheduling, payrol, reviews, disiplinary action)
Reviewing and submiting income statements
Entering prescriptions into computer database
Dispensing medications
Assisting clients at the cash register
Working with insurance companies
Contacting referring physicians offices with questions over prescription
Supports pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.
Help health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.
Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and compounding.
Maintains records by recording and filing physicians orders and prescriptions.
Generates revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges.
Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
Previous experience in a pharmacy
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Technician registration with the MN Board of Pharmacy
