The medical assistant provides a range of office support to insure appropriate scheduling, documentation, record keeping and billing functions. Provides personal care and supportive services to the patient under the direct supervision of the RN or Clinical Manager/Nursing Supervisor. The medical assistant will perform patient-focused activities, assist physician and other professional staff with treatment and procedures, and monitor patients condition and report changes as needed. The medical assistant will adhere to the daily schedule, communicate effectively with patients and staff, monitor and coordinate supplies/equipment, and promote customer/patient satisfaction. Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: 1. Experience in the physician office setting preferred. 2. Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. 3. Surgery scheduling experience preferred.
Other Qualifications: Current BLS certification within six weeks of hire
