JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The Policy Analyst works with senior leadership with responsibility spanning a broad array of health care policy and health insurance issues and topics. Specific responsibilities include supporting work in the areas of prevention and population health, behavioral health, maternal and infant health, chronic care management including complex care and aging-related issues, vaccines and immunizations, social determinants of health and health equity, emerging technologies, medical coverage policies, etc. The specific topic areas may change over time as the association’s priorities evolve with the U.S. health care market. This position supports the strategic, policy, and advocacy goals of the organization by producing critical information that responds to the needs of our members promotes the value proposition of health plans, informs stakeholders about the role and decision processes of health plans, and works collaboratively to help colleagues and members succeed in providing high-quality health care services to consumers. Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibility. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. Continuous sitting for prolonged periods more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day. Keyboard use of greater or equal to 50% of the workday. Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., however may require long hours and weekend work.
