Work Hours/Shift:

• Full-Time, Monday – Friday

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Acts as the primary point of intake for department questions and requests.
• Maintains the department’s information resources for easy retrieval and response to questions and requests, including internal and external team Sharepoints.
• Documents, maintains and facilitates meeting minutes, agendas, department operational and project plans to ensure assigned tasks are tracked to on-time completion and documented for complete understanding by all.
• Implements processes for identifying, resolving and/or escalating issues that present a risk to government program objectives and/or timelines. Discerns critical issues and exercises judgment in escalation to leadership.
• Maintains accurate provider, staff, board member, committee member rosters and associated documentation.
• Creates, updates and maintains standard operating procedures, work instructions, policies and procedures to support government program work.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and proposes efficient remedies.
• Coordinates reporting needs to support government programs.
• Assists in the development of staff, provider and patient communications including presentations, flyers, posters, newsletters and other means..

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare administration, or a related field; or 5+ years of related experience
• Minimum one year of experience in an ACO, health plan, value-based program, CIN, physician practice or health system
• Experience in coordinating and managing projects of various sizes and complexity

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Master’s degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Public Administration

Licensure, Certification or Registration Preferred:

• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Moderate to Expert knowledge of Excel Formulas, Filters, Pivot tables, Vlookup, and Charts
• Moderate to Expert knowledge of Powerpoint, Teams, Adobe, Outlook and Sharepoint
• Moderate knowledge of Word and Visio
• High-level interpersonal skills. Able to work collaboratively and tactfully with multi-disciplinary and diverse teams across department lines, management levels, and business entities
• High degree of emotional intelligence and self-management ability. Able to remain calm, focused, and productive in stressful situations, conflicts

Job Summary:

The Government Programs Specialist reports to the Director of Government Programs in AdventHealth Population Services Organization (PHSO). The Specialist supports, guides and coordinates operational processes associated with government programs in a manner that meets compliance with federal and state regulations as well as AdventHealth best practice standards. Programs may include Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Medicare Shared Savings Programs (MSSPs), Direct Contracting (DC) programs, Medicare Advantage (MA) programs, Primary Care First (PCF) programs, Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) and other new programs as adopted
