This position is responsible for working with a team and supportingmanagementforCommercial and/or Preferred One Hospital facility charges. Individual is responsible for all revenue cycle processes including but not limited tofinancial securing, insurance verification, obtaining prior authorizations, billing, claim follow up and denial management.
Responsibilities/Job Description
Working payor correspondence
Understanding insurance benefits, insurance verification and billing patients insurance timely following all payor policies/guidelines
Obtain prior authorizations
Perform timely claim follow upto ensure reimbursement for services
Effectively work insurance denials an appeal when necessary with knowledge of payor policies/guidelines
Work complex accounts effectively
Accept incoming calls from patients regarding benefits, authorization and billing questions
Provide cost estimates and collect pre-service deposits for services
Ability to work with and communicate professionally with clinical staff, patients, insurance companies and any others involved in the treatment plan
Qualifications
Required
Two or moreyears ofbusiness office experience (1 in a hospital or clinic business office)
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Excel knowledge
Insurance knowledge
Insurance claims process or business office knowledge
Knowledge of facility billing including reading payor remittances and payor websites
