Job Summary: The CPOE Nurse Analyst is responsible for facilitating the design and supporting the implementation of evidence-based medicine deliverables across all clinical areas and sites within AdventHealth. The nurse analyst works closely with subject matter experts including physician and nurse leaders and members of the multidisciplinary clinical consensus councils to identify unwarranted care variations within AdventHealth and facilitate the collaboration of design solutions that incorporate current evidence-based practices and regulatory guidelines or practice-based evidence arising through the local hospital level. The multidisciplinary clinical councils serve as the enduring consensus forums across AdventHealth and are the vehicle used to facilitate the planning, design and deployment of evidence-based medicine and transformation of care initiatives. The CPOE Nurse Analyst serves as the integrator and facilitator for standardized clinical pathways, physician order sets, nurse protocols, clinical documentation as well as other clinical standards. AdventHealth order sets support care for all diseases, conditions based on the population of patients AdventHealth serves. The CPOE Nurse Analyst is responsible for ensuring clinical documentation standards for both physicians and nursing are embedded in the work products of these councils. The CPOE Nurse Analyst ensures order/documentation pathways are aligned/updated based on identified priority and maintained on a timely basis. The nurse analyst maintains documentation of evidence-based medicine key decisions, agendas, opportunity analysis, design documents as well as evidence-based practice literature. The CPOE Nurse Analyst works collaboratively engaging AH colleagues and physician leaders to influence and propel evidence-based medicine initiatives forward.
