The first major focus for this role is asan internalstart-up leader, identifyingand vettingpromising technologies within MSK,authoring andchampioning investmentsto advancethose assets,reflecting the voice of the customerandeventuallymaturingbroad scope products.The secondmajor focus for this role is leveraging that same set of assets and technologieswith largeindustry participants,architectingand executingbroad scope strategic agreements which span the unique research and clinical capabilities of MSK.
This roleworks on high-prioritysenior executive ledprojects with institution-wide impact. In coordination with theDirector of Digital Health, this role is responsible fora wide range of business development and internal consulting tasks,supporting the development of data anddigitalproduct strategies across the organization.This includes gathering informationand requirementsvia conversations with senior executivesandvarious MSK leaders, independently followinglines of inquiry,initiating analysis of issues,financial modeling,andpresenting recommendations.This role is part of a team of trustedstrategicadvisors guiding key investment decisions as well asa results-orientedtactical product teammemberdirectly responsible for makingthe cutting edge of digital oncology a reality.
Instantiate, vet andchampionhigh-level creative projectsincluding new product development,licensingand strategic partnershipsof broad organizational significance.
Gathers information across MSKandexternallyvia discussions, interviews,primaryresearchand other means to develop a broad perspective on an area of interest. This includesguiding group discussion as well as independent, directcollaborationwithbusiness development, strategy, technology, product development and related teams tobuildand executea consensusplan for new product development.
Represent thecutting-edgecapabilities of MSK externallyto createa small number of broadstrategic partnershipswithmajorinnovators, meaningfully advancingdigital healthcareandlifesciencesinoncology.
What you need:
Communication/interpersonal skills and excellent communicationat all levels
3-5yearsexperiencein leading variousteams and executiveprojects is highly preferred
Bachelors Degree in Healthcare, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing (or equivalent). Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
