JOB SUMMARY As an integral member of the VBC Sales team, the Consultant, Sales Support primary function is to articulate Conifer Value Based Careâ��s value proposition as effectively as possible in the acquisition and retention of client relationships. This detail-oriented individual must control competing deadlines and priorities while adapting to different team members' styles. The Consultant, Sales Support will lead the development of compelling and competitive messaging, including proposals, presentations and other collateral, that clearly and concisely articulate Conifer Value Based Careâ��s differentiation, strengths and successes, tailored to specific client audiences. This individual should have significant experience managing projects, and more specifically Requests for Information/ Proposals (RFx), within matrixed teams. Specific responsibilities include content writing, research, opportunity analysis, results tracking and maintenance of knowledge management system for proposal content. This individual will also have exposure to prospective clients during the sales lifecycle.
The Consultant, Sales Support is expected to develop a deep understanding of managed healthcare, Coniferâ��s Value Based Careâ��s differentiators, and the competitive landscape across each market segment (health care providers, health care payers, self-insured employers, multiemployer health plans, etc.). With this knowledge, this individual will partner across the business to generate new ideas and collateral to help better position Conifer Value-Based Care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Others may be assigned.
â�¢ Responsible for the effective and efficient planning and execution of proposals and presentations, including RFx responses. Lead the proposal process by managing requests and composing responses:
â�¢ Collaborate with Sales and/or Client Executive â�¢ Thoroughly review proposal submission requirements and deadlines â�¢ Develop plan and communicate to stakeholders, including outlines, team assignments, schedule/timeline, meetings, content plans, etc. â�¢ Facilitate meetings with subject matter experts (SMEs), capture solution information, and translate solution ideas into familiar terms for inclusion in proposals â�¢ Draft proposals â�¢ Monitor team progress and proactively communicates updates, risks, issues, constraints, etc. â�¢ Review content for quality, clarity, consistency and accuracy â�¢ Ensure all relevant documentation is systematically retained, and in the event of a winning proposal, transitioned to Implementation Manager and/or Client Executive.
â�¢ Proactively maintain content database / knowledge management system including coordination with SMEs throughout the organization to:
â�¢ Perform content reviews â�¢ Evaluate records on a regular basis to ensure they align with current messaging/strategy â�¢ Appraise new proposal responses for inclusion in database/system â�¢ Assess graphics and related standards in the database/system.
â�¢ Develop proposal templates. â�¢ Coordinating with leadership, create sales-ready content and collateral, including battle cards, playbooks, presentations, etc. â�¢ Participate in pursuit strategy and solution design meetings to understand solution direction, strengths and key solution components. â�¢ Support opportunity owners in their coordination with Finance/Pricing to align proposal content with solution assumptions and fee structure/pricing. â�¢ Research and analyze competitive proposal activity and results. â�¢ Proactively identify inefficiencies and offer opportunities for continuous improvement that better organize and standardize presales and sales messaging.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
â�¢ Five-plus years of relevant experience: business development, marketing, management consulting/strategy or presales/proposal management. â�¢ Two-plus years of healthcare management or services experience. â�¢ Experience creating and maintaining proposal content, preferably in healthcare or service-oriented industry â�¢ Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis and research â�¢ Experience creating content to improve sales effectiveness (sales training, messaging, win theme and value proposition development to strengthen proposal responses) â�¢ Bachelorâ��s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline.
