JOB SUMMARY: Assists with overseeing functions of associates in the Health Information Management Scanning and Deficiency Analysis teams. Assist with training new hired associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for maintaining the integrity and accessibility of patient medical records.
Oversees functions and assignments of associates in Scanning and Deficiency Analysis for essential workflow coverage
Assists with scheduling to ensure coverage for all shifts including holidays.
Assists with training new hired associates.
Resolves problems and concerns - Reports issues to Operations Manager and/or Director
Prioritizes workflow and assigns tasks to associates.
Preparation, Scanning, and Quality Review for uploading documentation into EHR
Access Scanning System and EHR for data entry and retrieval
Research and upload loose documentation into the EHR
Manage assigned Deficiency Analysis EHR work queues for deficiency assignment and completion, verification, and provider notifications
Assist providers with chart completion in Epic
Reconcile daily discharges
Daily EHR, email, fax, and phone communications with providers, provider offices, departmental and client Leadership
Update and monitor department and/or individual tracking spreadsheets
Performs functions in the absence of associates.
Assists in requesting and receiving department supplies
Performs other duties as assigned to meet departmental needs

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.
Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Two yearsâ�� experience in a Health Information Management department and/or Revenue Cycle process
Recent Health Information Technology / Management graduates welcome
Certifications: None required.
