We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, Physician Communication & Engagement who is passionate about strengthening engagement among MSKs third-party physician audience in order to raise awareness about our leading cancer care, research, and education. The incumbent will be a key member of the Editorial & Content Strategy team, helping to engage MSKs entire stakeholder community through various integrated channels.
Reporting to our VP, Editorial & Content Strategy, you will:
Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies to engage MSKs third-party physician audience with institutional news, relevant content and programming, and other opportunities to engage with MSK.
Work collaboratively across Marketing & Communications and the broader institution to optimize the way third-party physicians engage with MSK.
Lead the coordination of physician-facing newsletters across all service areas and divisions of MSK: work closely with Service Chiefs, Attending Physicians, and others with clinical service areas to strategize content, format, and frequency, growing mailing lists, assigning newsletter content to writers, editing newsletters for editorial excellence and brand voice, and measuring newsletter success.
Create and maintain a strategic, brand-aligned experience on physician-centric networking platforms, e.g. Doximity.
Reflect MSKs commitment to Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion and Health Equity in all physician-facing touchpoints; ensure that these values are authentically incorporated in our physician outreach strategy as well as our content.
Draw on all Marketing & Communications capabilities to create new ways to add value for third-party physicians. Be a subject-matter expert in identifying opportunities to expand engagement with B2B audiences through MSKs digital properties.
Establish KPIs for the Physician Communications & Engagement program and regularly measure the programs effectiveness.
Manage and build a best in class Content Marketing Team which develops content for referring physicians, health benefits providers, and other corporate partners.
10-15+ years of well-rounded experience across internal and external communications, content creation, owned and paid marketing channels, brand strategy, with increasing level of responsibility.
Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills; executive presence.
Genuine enthusiasm for the healthcare industry, cancer care, research, and education, and MSKs mission. Experience in healthcare, especially experience interfacing directly with healthcare professionals, is preferred.
Experience in complex and multi-faceted organizations with diverse, multi-cultural stakeholders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and apps.
Comfort with digital marketing and communications tools, online professional networking platforms, and B2B engagement tools.
