We are excited to share that Advocate Aurora Health seeks an experienced managed care executive to serve as its next Senior Vice President, Managed Care Strategy (SVP). This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader to join one of the most successful health systems in the country. This SVP will lead managed care contracting strategy across an organization known for providing high quality patient care. The SVP will partner with system executive leadership to accelerate current strategy for exchange products and existing payer contracts while leading the system's transition to value-based reimbursement arrangements.
Advocate Aurora Health is one of the 10 largest not-for-profit, integrated health systems in the United States with more than 500 sites of care in Illinois and Wisconsin and a leading employer in the Midwest with more than 70,000 employees, including more than 22,000 nurses and the region's largest employed medical staff (3,600 physicians) and home health organization. A national leader in clinical innovation, health outcomes, consumer experience and value-based care, Advocate Aurora Health is rapidly growing, with a goal of becoming a $25 billion health system over the next five years. The SVP will have the opportunity to capitalize on the resources of Advocate Aurora Health to develop a strategy that will align with the broader goals of growth and integration and have a greater impact on the health of the communities served across Illinois and Wisconsin.
Given the transition to a more virtual workplace, the SVP will not be required to live in Illinois or Wisconsin. While the SVP can work remotely, she/he will be required to be visible and build partnerships while also being a skilled negotiator with both in person and virtual engagements. The SVP will need to be effective in translating highly complex information to a broad group of stakeholders. The successful candidate must have an outstanding track record of achievement, including significant managed care contracting experience and a track record of building innovate partnerships with positive financial results. Candidates will demonstrate a strong background in value based care, capitation, risk based arrangements, and overall managed care strategy. This person must be able to thrive in a highly matrixed, complex and multi-state growing health system dedicated to improving healthcare in the communities served by Advocate Aurora Health.
