This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more Clinical Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Assist in the coordinate of optimal flow through the pre-operative and operative process with goal of maximal operating room utilization. Coordinate pre-anesthesia needs with consultants and primary care providers. Make reasonable decision as to pre-anesthesia fitness. Operate as part of the facilities emergency response (code blue) team. Order desired and request pre- peri- and post-anesthesia labs, testing and consults as appropriate. Perform and document history and physical. Provide documentation of anesthesia plan in the electronic medical record. Provide monitored anesthesia care, meeting all community standards of care, including general endotracheal, laryngeal mask, regional, spinal, epidural and sedation care. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm; 40 hours per week including weekend/night on call responsibilities, depending on the needs of the medical center.
