Manages regional team leaders, promotes the well being and a safe working environment for all defined personnel including employees, volunteers, students of organizational education programs. Assures compliance with the directives, policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Hires, orients, integrates and supervises assigned personnel, including Team Leaders and mid-level providers.
Coordinates the organization of daily, weekly, monthly and annual work schedules including committee assignments, creation of monthly reports and presentations.
Monitors the accuracy of an accurate health file for all defined personnel, ensuring confidentiality and acts as a resource for the electronic medical records.
Monitors the creation and maintenance of the blood borne pathogen exposure injury program, including evaluation, treatment, documentation, components of blood borne pathogen log, and follow up.
Participates in the planning and implementation of the annual influenza vaccine administration program.
Interacts with the HS clinical personnel and Infection Control department in the evaluation and treatment of employees with various infectious work-related exposures.
Leads OSHA Task Force including the review of system wide safety devices and allowance of non-safety authorization, monitors BBP exposures system wide and develops plans for auditing care post exposure and action plans for prevention.
Collaborates with Corporate and Risk Insurance to monitor system-wide injuries and develop prevention strategies.
Supervises and participates in the coordination of the annual health assessment program including, but not limited to, scheduling, TB testing, and immunization review with update of records.
Monitors changes in Health Services standards required by OSHA, CDC, DOH, the Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.
Completes performance appraisals and assists the employees in the development of annual goals.
Addresses performance problems initiating the disciplinary process, as appropriate.
Provides educational information to employees consistent with the mission and objectives of the Health Services department, including seeking opportunity for program development to enhance the effectiveness of the Health Services program.
