This Clinical Instructor - Generalist position is located in Hospital Education at the West Haven, CT location with travel to alternate campuses to provide training. This position is a Full-time at 40 hours per week. Coordination, facilitation, and evaluation of the Nursing Orientation program. Coordination, facilitation, and evaluation of both charge nurse and preceptor workshops. Coordination, facilitation, and evaluation of nursing assistant training programs. Provides consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development opportunities and mentorship opportunities Serves as a BLS/ ACLS instructor. Serves as an Agent in Place/ nurse planner for obtaining continuing education hours. Mentors colleagues, other nurses, students and others as appropriate. Participates in quality performance improvement activities Integrates relevant research outcomes into nursing professional development practice through effective learning activities. Coordinates competency development programs including oversight of assigned areas for orientation and competency of new staff. Promotes evidence-based practice initiatives including serving as a subject matter expert in nursing research and evidence based practice projects. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm, regular rotations to off tours for staff training. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
