Admitting Counselor - Admissions - Per Diem SUMMARY: An admission counselor provides 24/7 coverage for the department on a rotational basis. Assist with bed assignments and carry out procedures to admit, register and/or discharge patients accurately and timely. This position requires that the admission counselor explain financial options to patients. It also involves the collection and processing of payments, eligibility verification, notification of admission to the Health Plan and provide discharge dates upon request.
