Dental Hygienist
The dental hygienist is responsible for performing basic and advanced prophylactic and preventive dental procedures and the treatment of patients with related medical and dental problems. At the full performance level, the dental hygienist requires only general supervision from a dentist and is expected to provide direct patient care, receiving guidance from higher-level supervisory staff members for only the most complex patients. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Citizenship. Citizen of the United States. (Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified candidates in accordance with chapter 3, section A, paragraph 3g, this part.) Education.
