Position Information:
The Medical Assistant is a hybrid position for a candidate who is duly trained as a referral representative and medical assistant. The Medical Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all appointments, tests, procedures and surgeries are scheduled in a timely manner; that all required referrals and authorizations are in place per practice/system procedures and that registration information is complete and accurate. Position serves as a liaison for practice with patients, departments, healthcare providers and insurance companies. The Medical Assistant is part of a multifunctional team charged with the responsibility of provider efficient and process access. The Medical Assistant works interdependently with other medical professionals to provide quality health care to the patient. The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a physician by performing specific services in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient. The Medical Assistant understands the needs of the practice and supports the mission and values.

Experience Requirements:
1 Year Administrative Required

Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Associate's Degree Business Administration Preferred

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified Medical Assistant Required - Within 6 Months of Hire Or Registered Medical Assistant Required - Within 6 Months of Hire

Hours of Work:
Monday through Thursday 0745-445 and Friday 0745 to 1pm

Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends
