In-Office Dispensing Tech
Overview:Shenandoah Oncology is looking for a full-time In-Office Dispensing (IOD) Tech to join our team! Under the direction of a physician, the selected candidate will be responsible for providing in-office dispensing of oral drugs to oncology patients. This includes technical aspects of oral medication dispensing, record keeping, and inventory control as well as helping with financial assistance. Additional skills training will be provided for IV admixture preparation of chemotherapy agents. Responsibilities: Verifies patient demographics, insurance information, and prescription information. Processes prescriptions and bills insurance for payment. Review and sign paperwork. Troubleshoots Medicare part B verification requirements.
