WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the radiation oncology department in NW Indiana. Provider will join us at our multi-disciplinary cancer center primarily at Franciscan Health Crown Point located in Crown Point, IN, with some coverage at Franciscan Health Munster. This will be primarily outpatient focused. Candidate will have the support of an experienced local team of radiation oncologists and other cancer providers.

The Advanced Practice Provider will be a key component in the growth and development of the oncology service line in the Crown Point market area, alongside Franciscan Physician Network physicians, oncology nurse navigators, and other experienced oncology clinicians.

WHAT WE NEED:

The candidate will have a focus on clinical excellence and patient experience/satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and will desire to invest in the community, building long-lasting relationships with patients and their families. Provider will need to work collaboratively with physician to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. Oncology experience is helpful but not required - specialty specific training will be provided.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• No nights or weekends
• Anticipated outpatient volume: 5 - 10 patients per day
• Inpatient consultations as needed during business hours
• Medical management of patients undergoing radiation therapy
• Some vacation coverage at other NWI radiation oncology offices as needed
• Opportunity for expansion to supportive oncology/additional cancer services if desired
• Quality of life allows for daily commute from Chicago and surrounding suburbs - most of our radiation oncologists live in the city

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree - Required
• Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) - Required - or
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification - Required
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
