Registered Nurse Staff Development Specialist
The Staff Development Specialist (SDS) is a registered nurse (RN) with broad-based clinical knowledge and patient/resident care experience. The SDS is responsible and accountable for the development and implementation of education programs. The Staff Development Specialist is primarily responsible for the general orientation of new employees, evaluation of their progress in the orientation process, and for developing and implementing a learning plan for improving identified deficiencies. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
