Medical Technician
NOTE: This announcement is for: 1 full-time position 3 intermittent positions These positions are held within the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service at the VA Medical Center in Augusta, ME. The Medical Technician rotates in Hematology, Coagulations, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Microbiology, and performs phlebotomy. This position performs a variety of procedures, including complex analysis and infrequently requested tests, and evaluating abnormal results. ENGLISH Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
